Old San Juan has a new innovative food proposal for locals and visitors to the island, that presents a variety of Puerto Rican and international cuisines, without losing the essence and roots of local cuisine, with an authentic union of cultures and heritages.
Mercado La Carreta restaurant, located on Luna Street, in front of the Plaza de la Barandilla, steps away from the Carlos Albizu University will transports visitors to the country’s traditional cuisine with a variety of breakfast, lunch and dinner items including: pancakes, eggs to taste, different types of meats and a variety of fresh fruits, and an infinity of combinations and specialties to satisfy the tastes of the customers.
As for drinks, the large restaurant with a colonial structure offers “smoothies”, coffees, natural juices and even alcoholic drinks of the highest quality.
Mercado La Carreta will also host its own market that supports the country’s products and local entrepreneurs. From this space, different entrepreneurs will showcase their work offering some of their products made in Puerto Rico.
Mercado La Carreta is a culinary space that focuses on multifunctionality and ease of adaptation. It has a pleasant interior patio and has spaces that are ideal for holding meetings, seminars, “afterworks”, birthday parties, weddings, product launches, corporate events, private tastings and among others.
