Caficultura ticks all the right boxes if you are looking for a great cup of coffee and a bite to eat, in Old San Juan.
The coffee is delicious, the food tasty and the location overlooking Plaza Colon is great.
I’m a big fan of the coffee shops in Old San Juan and Caficultura is one that you most definitely should try
Located on Calle San Francisco, Caficultura offers indoor and outdoor seating overlooking Plaza Colon. Once you enter Caficultura, your eyes are immediately drawn to the bright red La Marzocco coffee machine that sits on the counter and produces some of the best coffee I have tasted here in Puerto Rico.
The staff are always super friendly and the baristas know how to make amazing coffee from their blend of locally sourced beans. I find the coffee to be smooth and I have trouble stopping at just one cup.
Along with their extensive coffee menu which is handily hanging on the wall, Caficultura has an impressive food menu including brunch, lunch and sandwich items.
Popular brunch dishes (which are usually available all day) include; Coconut Infused French Toast, Eggs Benedict and Sweet Potato Crepes with chicken sausage and goat cheese.
The only negative to Caficultura is its popularity which means you may have to wait to grab a table.
Whenever I plan on going I attempt to get their early increasing my chances of finding a table and enjoying some of the best coffee you will find in Puerto Rico.
