The new “Sabor del Campo” route is a Gastronomic and Panoramic Route that runs along PR-419, PR-411 and PR-412 and crosses the municipalities of Aguada, Añasco and Rincón.
The “Sabor del Campo” route, is an official part of the Porta del Sol Region that has been an attraction for locals and tourists and it is hoped that this new initiative will strengthen the development of gastronomic tourism for locals and visitors in the area
“Sabor del Campo” will allow locals and tourists visiting the western mountainous area the opportunity to enjoy an incalculable variety of delicacies that can only be enjoyed on these Island. Establishments participating in the route will other local dishes, typical drinks and agricultural products grown in the region..
“Sabor del Campo” joins other routes already popular in Puerto Rico such as the “la Ruta del Plátano” in Corozal and the “la Ruta de la Tradición Loiceña” that runs from Pinones to Loíza, and la Ruta del Lechón, which are highly visited by those who enjoy these local trips known as the “chinchorreos”.
